The governors of the Regional Association of the Andes will participate PERUMIN 33 Mining Convention international event, organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), to discuss and outline the common agenda for the following years regarding social progress and economic growth related to mining activity.

PERUMIN 33 will award university research in mining law

Students and professionals can participate in academic contest until August 31st.

In order to promote top-class academic research, the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), organizer of PERUMIN 33 Mining Convention, summons to the Research Contest “Competitiveness and Sustainability; analysis and proposals of the legal framework to improve mining development opportunities in Peru”.

Poverty in Peru would decrease 14% if projects in portfolio are executed

According to a study made by Centre for Competitiveness and Development (CCD) in alliance with the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP).

If Peru executed its mining project portfolio, the national rate of poverty would decrease from 21% to 14% by 2021. This was determined by a study named “Macroeconomic and microeconomic benefits of mining" prepared by the Centre for Competitiveness and Development (CCD) in alliance with the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP). This study will be presented at PERUMIN 33 Mining Convention.
